Les Paul was born on June 9, 1915. He will be remembered as a competent musician and a pioneer in the invention of electric guitars, Multitrack recording, and special sound effects gadgets. The modern electric guitar owes a lot to Lester William Polfus who passed away in 2009 at the age of 94.

By 1941 Les Paul had developed the log which would by the mid 1950's be the line up of Les Paul electric guitars.
